Effective 18 July 2026 · applies to the Guessmith iOS and Android apps
Guessmith is published by Queuelab (“we”, “us”) under the Queuegames brand.
Legal entity details (form and registered address) will be completed when our organization
registration is finalized. Contact for privacy matters:

The short version
No account required. Game progress stays on your device. We use Google Firebase
for anonymous sign-in (online multiplayer), crash reporting, and analytics. The ad SDK may be
present in the app even when ads are turned off remotely. Optional in-app purchases are handled
by Apple or Google. We do not sell your personal information.
What the app does
Guessmith is a code-breaking logic game (solo, pass-and-play, and optional online challenges).
You can play without creating a username, email, or password.
Data we process
On-device game data. Stats, streaks, settings (for example palette and haptics),
and purchase entitlement flags are stored locally on your device. We do not host a player
profile server for these.
Anonymous authentication (online play). When you use online multiplayer, the
app signs in anonymously with Firebase Authentication (Google). This creates
a random user id so the match can run. It is not linked to your name or email by us.
Anonymous accounts may be cleaned up after inactivity under Firebase project settings.
Online match data. Match documents and short-lived invite codes are stored in
Cloud Firestore (region europe-west1) only for multiplayer. The secret code of
a match is not readable by either client; feedback is computed by Cloud Functions. Match data
is designed to expire (TTL), not to be a permanent social graph.
Crash diagnostics. We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect
crash reports and related diagnostic data (device type, OS version, app version, stack traces,
and similar technical information) so we can fix bugs. We attach the anonymous id when available,
not your real-world identity.
Analytics. We use Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for
Firebase) for product metrics (for example session and feature usage events defined by our
app kit). Events are configured to avoid collecting your name or email.
Advertising technology. The app may include the Google Mobile Ads
(AdMob) SDK and consent tooling (UMP). Ads may be held off by remote configuration
(“dark” mode). When ads are enabled, Google and partners may process advertising identifiers
and related data under their policies. You can manage tracking preferences via system settings
and, where required, our consent form (including App Tracking Transparency on iOS).
In-app purchases. Optional purchases (remove_ads,
premium_unlock) are processed by Apple App Store or
Google Play Billing. We receive entitlement information (what you bought),
not your full payment card details.
Camera (optional). If you scan a friend’s invite QR code, the camera is used
only on-device to read the code. We do not upload camera frames for that purpose.
Push notifications (when enabled). If you grant permission later, we may use
Firebase Cloud Messaging for game-related notifications (for example match or engagement
messages). Token handling follows platform and Firebase practice.
Why we process data
Provide and improve the game (including multiplayer and stability)
Understand feature usage at aggregate level
Show ads only when enabled and after required consent
Restore purchases you already made
Meet legal and security obligations
Legal bases under GDPR (where applicable) include performance of the service you request,
legitimate interests in securing and improving the app, and consent where required (for example
certain advertising / tracking).
Processors / sub-processors
We use infrastructure and SDKs from providers including:
Apple Inc. (App Store, StoreKit, device platforms)
Hosting for this website via Firebase Hosting / Google infrastructure
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Processing for
Firebase services for this title is configured with a European region preference where we control
it (europe-west1 for our Cloud Functions / Firestore).
Retention
On-device data: until you delete the app or clear app data
Online match / invite artifacts: short-lived (TTL / cleanup as designed)
Crash and analytics data: per Google Firebase retention defaults unless we configure shorter windows
Your choices and rights
Play offline modes without using online multiplayer
System settings for tracking, notifications, and camera
Restore purchases from Settings in the app
Uninstall the app to remove local data we store on device
If GDPR or similar law applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of
personal data we hold, and you may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority
(in Poland: UODO). Contact:
contact@queuegames.app.
Note: Because online play uses anonymous Firebase ids and we do not collect
email inside the app, we may need technical identifiers you provide (or limited cooperation with
platform tools) to locate records.
Children
Guessmith is a general-audience logic game, not directed at children under 13 (or the age
required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for
profiles or marketing. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us and
we will delete it where applicable.
International transfers
Google and Apple may process data in the United States and other countries with safeguards
described in their documentation (for example Standard Contractual Clauses where required).
Changes
We may update this policy when the product or law changes. We will revise the effective date
above. Material changes may also be noted in the app store listing or an in-app notice.
